Number 11

Half number 11 is in the books. It was a great race with great weather. Also, I got to run with my husband which made it so much better. I am exhausted after expo plus racing, but promise a full recap is coming. Disney recaps are first though. I am home for three weeks so hope to get a sense of normalcy back to the blog…and my life! For now I leave you with a couple of images from rock n roll New Orleans.

Also a huge thank you to those who have been so supportive on Facebook, twitter, and here commenting on the blog. I am sorry I haven’t gotten around to responding to things yet, I start playing “catch up” today!

Congrats on #11 ! So many accomplishments to be proud of.

My favorite racing weather is crisp fall air — that is, crisp but not COLD like winter. I imagine the spring days also in the 50s-60s will be pleasant, too.

Congrats! I’ve raced in all kinds of temperatures and would probably say yesterday’s half in 15F and high winds was the worst. The best was last May when it was 59F at the Toronto Women’s Half.

Congrats on the race and the PR. That is awesome. Nice medal too. Temperature is not too much of an issue as long as the humidity is down. RnR USA in 2 weeks!

Congrats – such a cute medal! I prefer to run when it’s around 50 degrees or even a little cooler. My worst race was a marathon when it was over 80. No good.

I totally saw you! I wasn’t positive if it was you, and I was planning to try to get over and take the risk of looking like an idiot and asking… but I lost sight of you at a water stop I think. Congrats on a great race!
