Lasik Eye Surgery

Is it really Thursday? This week is flying by, but yet I feel like I haven’t gotten that much done. Don’t you hate that? Hoping to remedy this today and knock out a bunch of things. Why do I feel so behind? Bobby had Lasik eye surgery yesterday! I drove him the hour to Mobile mid morning and he had the procedure done. I decided to do a vlog to tell you all about it.

Poor Bobby. He is a trooper, and I hope that this fixes his vision problems once and for all! Aside from a headache and scratchy sensitive eyes he is doing ok.  Stay tuned for a Nuun giveaway coming up next week!

Today I must get in a run and visit to the gym, I have only run once this week and kind of miss it, who would have thought?! Ha!

Also, did you enter the sweepstakes for the $500 Under Armour giftcard through the What’s Beautiful challenge? Have you signed up for the challenge?!?

QOTD: Have you had Lasik? Tell me your experience! Do you want Lasik?

I had Lasik 2 weeks ago and it was the best decision ever. It is so nice to see everthing so clearly without my glasses. Right now I have 20/15 vision and it will only get better as time goes on.

I will admit all of the different eye drops were a pain in the butt but totally worth it. I am now on 1 prescription eye drop and over-the-counter Refresh optive advanced. I know I may still need readers as I age but that is a lot better than wearing progressive eye glasses at the age of 30!

I had Lasik 11 years ago! BEST decision I ever made! I do remember my eyes being super dry for a few months after the surgery. I made sure to have my drops with me at all times! It’s amazing how well I could see once I woke up from my nap the day of the surgery! I hope Bobby’s experience is as good as mine has been! Who was his doctor? Dr. Duffey in Mobile did mine! Loved him!

Hi! I had Lasik surgery 3 years ago and it was the best decision EVER! You’re absolutely right – it takes less than 15 minutes and after a few days of recovery it really can change your life. I’m not going to lie… the first day is torture. After you wake up the next morning, the pain should dramatically decrease and he’ll be amazed at how well he can see! Good luck you guys! :)

I hope he feels better soon! I’ve been dying for lasik, I’m absolutely blind.

I had LASIK 8 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The big E was fuzzy and now 20/20 you can’t beat it. My husband had it 10 years ago and he feels the same way. They told us when we hit 40 we will probably need reading glasses but I don’t even care. He is 41 and uses reading glasses every now and then.

It would be funny if afterwards he had super cool X-MEN cyclops powers. Hope he is doing better. Never had Lasik, but I do need to start wearing my glasses more.

great vlog and LOVE the purple shirt, one of my fav. colors to wear.

    Glad Bobby is doing well!

Eyes are the only body part that gross me out! I can’t even imagine putting eye drops in my eyes, let alone wearing contacts or having surgery. Yikes! Bobby is a tough cookie :)

I know of several people who got lasik and absolutely love the results! I’m sure he will too :)

I would love lasik. Really really love. My sister had lasik and my brother had PRK (or whatever). My cousin had lasik, too. I’m jealous. Can’t afford it, but one of these days I would want to do it. I’ve been wearing contacts since 7th grade. I’m done. lol.

ahhhhhhhh i am so glad it went okay! i am so blind… i want lasik SO badly but i’m afraid of the surgery. Like, terrified. So you said Bobby had to have willpower to not blink. I don’t think I have that willpower. What happens if you blink?!?!?

      Heather says:

they do give you xanax before they do it though. I dont think you CAN blink, but you have to stare into this light/dot. good news is it doesn’t take long at all. The whole thing was ten minutes!

I’m dying to get Lasik. However, I need to take the first step and make an appointment to see if I’m a candidate.
