Oh that is funny. That happened to us once too…went to a Lawrence Welk golf/theatre resort in Escondido, CA and we were the youngest and EVERYONE kept asking if we were there with our parents… but it was fun.

And it was quiet! No partiers keeping us awake all night which was a nice bonus… the cocktail lounge closed at 9 p.m.!

When my parents had their place at the beach in SC, every time we went there I swear we were the only ones under 60. People used to rent their place for 1-3 months at a time…. that is my life goal, to be a snowbird hehe

I would never race in the sand! Run, maybe so especially at a beach because that’s a cool experience, but not a race.

Your story of how everyone there is so old reminds me of our cruise last May. There was an adult area on the ship, and even though we always saw a lot of young adults on the ship, every time we went to the adult area we felt like it was God’s waiting room. And yeah, I was the only person with brown hair (my husband’s bald… but he had a brown beard… so I guess that counts… haha).

Running in the sand is hard, good for you! I dabbled in a few runs in the sand when were in Mexico for our Honeymoon. I would be interested in running a race in the sand, but I agree that it would be hard, but would be a fun idea!

I’m more of a mountains girl than beach girl, so I like some place out in the middle of nowhere to hike, but come back to a nice lodge with lots of amenities. That said, we are heading to the Outer Banks in NC in a few weeks to get away and I can’t wait!
